Levi Thayer was made administrator of his estate Jan.15,1782 and division was made Mar.14,1783 to the widow who had the south end of the house etc., To Levi Thayer, eldest son, north half of the house etc., he paying Nancy, eldest daughter and Dorcas, second daughter; To Rufus & Reuben 2nd & 3rd sons a dwelling house in the Middle Precinct (in South Braintree Square), they paying to Dorcas and to Amos, 5th son; to Samuel, 4th son, part of the barn etc.; and to Thankful Thayer, youngest daughter.

Hezekiah Thayer (or his father) was elected hogreave 1753 (in Middle Precinct) and Hezekiah Jr. was hogreave 1766,1770, & Hezekiah was constable 1778 in So. Precinct, but was excused from it, and then elected fenceviewer.

The town record states "The Honorable Ebenezer Thayer Esquire died Feb. the 7th in the seventy third year of his age after a confinement of sixteen years. He served the town in the office of Selectman eighteen years and was chosen Representative to the General Court seventeen years successively and chosen one of the Council in 1776, died in 1794." He resided on part of his father's place on Elm St. near Cedar St. where his homestead consisted of 56 acres. He became one of largest land owners in town and totaled over 580 acres in Braintree, with land at Ashfield and elsewhere in his inventory (N.P. 1-172). He died intestate. In the division, the son Ebenezer Thayer Esq. received land near his own house, Maj. Samuel M. Thayer had land called Webb's pasture and house lot and part of the grist mill, Capt. Atherton Thayer had the mansion house or homestead, and about 1 acre, part of the grist mill, Mrs. Rebecca Soper had land and house called Clark's place, Susanna Fogg had the great pasture near Elkanah Thayer's former place (at Washington & Cedar Sts.), Dr. Stephen, Rachel, and Minot Thayer had the whole of the Holbrook farm, 169 acres, jointly.

died Aug.1,1690 of small pox, body thrown overboard at Cape Ann, while on the fleet to Canada in 1690 expedition. He was excommunicated from church Jun.3,1683 for stealing. ("the son of brother Thomas Thayer"), "not in full communion".

He resided on Liberty St. north of and near to Middle St. part of which he sold in 1773 to his daughter Eleanor Thayer, and his son Eliphaz resided near here and probably inherited the remainder of it.
Eliphaz Thayer, blacksmith was made administrator of Isaiah Thayer, blacksmith, and for Sarah Thayer, Dec.20,1785 and was bonded with Ziphion Thayer of Boston, upholsterer, and Asa Weld of Braintree, yeoman.

He was elected hogreave 1737, surveyor of highways 1744 for Middle Precinct, tithingman 1748,1755, and constable 1762. Isaiah Thayer was made administrator in 1757 of Benjamin4 White (Joseph3) who was most probably brother of his wife Sarah White.
