He was a physician in 1850 census at Braintree, but the three youngest children were born in N.H. according to 1850 census.

died May 15,1765 in 78th year (Almanac of Jonathan Hayward), gs., foot stone only left - no date - Hancock Cem.
Samuel Savil son of Samuel deceased was admitted to full communion Oct.5,1706, was elected deacon Aug.21,1727. He was elected tithingman 1717,1723, fenceviewer 1719, constable 1720, selectman 1729,1734. Jonathan Marsh Mss. says he resided on School St., later the George Faxon place (where the Presbyterian Church now 1955 is)(in a house standing until 1899). "The west part of the house was built by him as an addition to an older house standing further west".
S.D. 52-73 shows Samuel Savil & wife Patience, she as daughter of James Foster late of Dorchester, deceased.

He was elected surveyor of highways 1696, selectman 1699. He was in King Philip's War 1676 (Reg. Vol.8, & 39).
William2 Savil left a will dated Jan.31,1699/1700 in which he mentions wife Experience, eldest son William, sons Joseph & Benjamin, daughters Deborah & Judith, all minors.
William Savil owned the covenant at church by 1684 and Deborah his wife admitted to full communion Jun.15,1684 and Deborah their daughter on Jun.6,1708.
S.P.14-142: Will of William Savell, Jan.31,1699/1700 - Mar.7,1699:
To wife Experience 1/3 of all moveables she brought with her & 1/3 of all estate.
To eldest son William a double part, rest to Joseph, Benjamin, Deborah & Judith equally.
Eldest son William executor when of age & during minority Dea. Nathaniel Wales with my two brethren Samuel Savell & Benjamin Savell executors in trust.
Wit: John Webb, Samuel Speare (his mark), Benj. Webb.
