He served with the U.S. Navy Sea Bees WWII. Killed by a fallen tree while constructing a runway
on Bougainville. Intered at National Cemetary, Rock Island Arsenal, IL. 15 Feb 1949 Sec. E Plot 177.
He lived in the household of his Aunt Hazel Shaw from 1940 until his entry into the Navy in 1942.

He married (1) (intention at Weymouth, 18 Dec. 1723) Mercy Randall, daughter of John and Susannah (Benson) Randall, born at Wey-mouth, 16 Nov. 1704. The Vital Records as published give the name at birth as Mary, and at marriage as Mercy, making it somewhat doubtful which name she bore.

He married 2nd Dec.23,1719, widow Hannah Pratt of Weymouth, b`1677, d. Feb. 14,1757: 80yrs. She had several children by her first husband & one of the girls married Robert, son of Thomas.
Occupation: A Deacon, built a sawmill and owned considerable land at Easton going Taunton North Purchase.

Thomas Randall removed from Weymouth to Taunton North Purchase (now South Easton). Joan Drake, perhaps daughter of William and Margaret (Westover) Drake ' baptized at Colyton, county of Devon, 15 Dec. 1628. She was a sister of Thomas Drake of Weymouth.
