David Joy made his will 11 Nov. 1847, mentioning his wife Jerusha, sons Calvin, David B. and Eri T., daughter Elether Joy, his grandchildren Edward Barton and Austin Barton, grandchild Mary, daughter of his son Calvin Joy, grandson George M. Joy, and grand-daughter Lavinia M., daughter of Eri T. Joy, and grandchild David Tyler Newcomb, and a pew in the Old South Meeting House, son Jared A.
