William came to York County with his brother, Jacob, and homesteaded there in Henderson Town ship. He would later removed to Knox County, Nebraska. He lived for a time, probably in th e 1880s maybe longer, near Creighton, Knox County, Nebraska.

William and Sarah are listed in the 1880 Nebraska Census, York County, Township 9 Range 4 W T ownship, Page 4, Enumeration District 131.

After 22 yrs. of marriage he disappeared. There were 3 or 4 children and when the eldest turned 20, Abram and family went away. Nothing known of family after that. They lived in New Hampshire, USA before diappearence

Taught school in his younger days. Was a prosperous shoe merchant in Boston for a number of years. Bought a farm in Halifax, Mass., lived there for 13 years until house burnt down. Sold the land and moved to Plymouth, Massachusetts. Afterwards he returned to E. Blackstone, Massachusetts and was an artist.

She died at Weymouth, 3 Apr. 1888. Her grandchildren were Ebenezer Warren Richards, Frank Winslow Richards, Loren Hamlin Richards, Mary Bayley BeaTse, Charles Edward Whitten, Ella Elizabeth Pratt, Phebe Caroline Paine and Elizabeth Ann Paine, all of Weymouth. (Norfolk Probate, 26080.)
