EDMUND JACKSON with his wife Mary - resided in Braintree, Weymouth and Abington from 1691 to 1724. He was of the right age to have been the youngest son of Edmund and his third wife Elizabeth (Pilkington) Jackson, who was born in Boston, 2 Aug. 1672. That child's father died in Boston before 2 May, 1675 and his widow married (2) at Marblehead, 16 Dec. 1676, William Beale, Sr., of Marblehead. Edmund Jackson, Sr., of Boston, 1635 to 1675, had a large family, including a son Samuel born in Boston, 27 June, 1643. On 22 Feb. 1695-96, Samuel Jackson of Boston, cordwainer, "only son and heir apparent of Edmond Jackson, late of Boston, cordwainer," sells Joshua Gee of Boston, shipwright, all rights in the estate of his father as one of the Proprietors of Boston. (Suffolk Deeds, 17,: 270.) As our Edmund Jackson was living at the time the aforesaid deed was executed, he could not be a brother of Samuel Jackson of Boston who styled himself the only son of Edmund Jackson of Boston, 1635 to 1675. Our Edmund Jackson left no recorded deeds in Suffolk County. Two of his children were recorded as born in Weymouth, one was recorded as born in Braintree, and all were recorded as born in Abington. The probability is that He resided near Braintree line in 1696, and at other times near the line between Weymouth and Abington
