He was elected surveyor of highways 1745,1748, constable 1760 & 1761 but refused it, surveyor of highways 1761, constable 1762 but refused again, surveyor of highways 1769,1773,1774,1775,1777,1780,-1781 for the Middle Precinct. He resided on his father's estate on Granite St., near Pond St. on "Moore's Farm River" (Monatiquot River).

To wife Mary 1/3 of whole estate & to five sons David, Jonathan, James, Moses, & Caleb equally 2/3 at my decease and other 1/3 at wife's decease, they paying to my six daughters, Mary, Hannah, Sarah, Lydia, Mehitable, & Ruth £100 to each or their heirs, that is to Mary Packard, Hannah Richards, Sarah Penniman, Lydia Hollis, York, Mehitable Allen with what they had at marriage & Ruth yet single to have £100. Son David executor.
Wit: Thomas French, Ebenezer Hayden, Ichabod Dyer.

82-413 - Division to widow Mary, West 1/2 of house, 1/3 the grist mill, the wash house, 10 feet of west end of barn, 1 a. orchard joining the river etc.
To David oldest son, east 1/2 of the house, 1/2 corn house, 1/3 grist mill, 1/2 barn, etc.
To James 3rd son, the farm he now lives on.

S.A. Bates says he resided on the east side of Great Pond away from any street, afterwards built a house on Pond St. which he sold to John V. Arnold, west side top of hill near Randolph line
