Synopsis:
FOREWORD
When I first conceived the Ticket to Ride radio series over five years ago, my intention was to pay tribute to the greatest musical group of my generation, the Beatles.
The series, and now this book, celebrate the impact and influence the Beatles had on all of us.
When the time came to choose a host for Ticket to Ride, one name stood out above all others. Scott Muni has been a New York radio mainstay for more than twenty years. His days at WABC radio are legendary and he is now known as the cornerstone air personality at the Big Apple's 'Home of Rock and Roll,' WNEW-FM.
'The professor' was more than a disc jockey to the Beatles - he was, first and foremost, their friend. Scott has followed John, Paul, George, and Ringo through every step of their career, from their very first day in America right through their breakup, and he continues to keep the memories alive for us all.
I am glad to share these interviews with you. After all, it was the fans of Ticket to Ride who prompted us to compile the transcripts into book form.
The Beatles have given us so much pleasure - it is virtually impossible to imagine a world without their musical genius. I'm just glad they gave us a 'ticket to ride.'
